Hi Brenda. My name is Cindy. My hubbie and I want to make a headboard using a door. We will lay the door on its side and attach a mantle to it. The mantle will be a surface to put pictures on. We intend to paint everything with off white paint. Depending if there is enough room, we might attach 4 by 4's on both ends. And put a finial on top of them. We have a new Habitat for Humanity Store so we're hoping to get a door there. Good luck Brenda.
