It is black and has never really looked good. Have tried cleaner as well as polished..nothing improves it.
Here's an article about how to clean a black cast iron sink. One thing it mentions is not to use a highly abrasive cleaner. Is it the shine that you are not seeing? If so, you could try using car wax to see if that helps. It won't last forever but it will help for a while. Wishing you the best.
I hope it helps, Kathleen. I do remember reading that a liquid car wax works better than a paste. I've actually been thinking about doing that to my stainless steel sink, after cleaning and oiling. It's amazing how over the years, we never learned to cross-use products. LOL
Hi there, I've used Cerama Bryte on my sink. It's like Bar Keeper's Friend. Might be worth a try if you haven't yet.
