How can I make a hanging, flat, Christmas tree for my apartment?

I cannot make permanent marks on the walls, but I have the perfect place to hang a 27" x 42" tall, FLAT, Christmas Tree. I'd like it to be lit with little lights, but not absolutely necessary. It needs to be lightweight as I'm 75 yrs. old and cannot lift anything TOO heavy. I'm told these can be found in some stores, but I've not seen any as yet. And since I love to make things, any suggestions?

You could make one easily with green felt cut in to a Christmas tree shape and add felt ornaments and use lightweight fairy lights!
How about cutting a piece of pegboard , you can paint it , then stick your lights through the holes , as well as , hang ornaments from the holes !
You can get battery operated lights. Affix with Command brand hooks.
