Many years ago I built a play house for my kid. What I did was: level a square of ground, which I dug down a few inches. I then poured a concrete (using quikcrete I mixed) pad, using an old 1 x 3 piece of wood to level the top. I put some big bolts about 2" in from the edges, but upside down and not close to the corners. I let it dry for a couple of days (I know somebody will say the hole should have been lined with a few inches of rock before concrete, but I didn't know then and did not do that). Meanwhile, I got my wood. I got 4 pieces of pretreated 2 x 4s. I drilled holes in them wherever the bolts in the concrete were. I got 8 pieces of 1 x 3s (I was building in 1 x 3s rather than 2 x 4s -- do whatever you want) for the bottom and top of my walls. Now, this was a playhouse and so I got 10' 1 x 3s and had the store cut them in half to 5' lengths. Since the playhouse was approximately 8'x8', I used 7 of the 5' lengths on each side of the house evenly spaced. To make it easier for me to nail them into the top and bottom rail, I pre-drilled holes. Also, I avoided the bolt holes. Okay, so 4 walls have been made. I then bolted them to the concrete pad by sticking them over those bolts I had put into the wet concrete. To hold the 4 walls together, I used metal "L" brackets. I don't know how many. Then I nailed plywood on the outside. For the roof I made 2 more "walls" and attached them with more brackets that I hammered to a good angle. Nowadays there are probably angled brackets. Nailed it at the top using more brackets and lined the outside with more plywood.
On one side I used an old (interior) door which I painted with marine paint so the playhouse would have a door. I also cut some windows and put screen over the holes (this was for a child) -- you would have to find out how to put a window in if you want one. Anyway, it cost me somewhere around $650 back then (10 years ago).
