Can the small curved blade that peels the apple be sharpened? It is secured to the tool with a wing nut. Adjustable but not removable from tiny metal housing.

You might be able to take a small metal file or cone shaped hone to sharpen the edges.

You could take the apple peeler to your local hardware store and they could help you find a file/honer that may work. It might not be worth the price to buy a hone/file and you may just end up buying a new apple peeler.

Use Emory cloth wrapped around a pencil ...Or a small half round metal file , you can find these in the jewelry making dept. Of a craft store . Good luck !
