You can frame it in with 2x2s and add bead Board and a cap. Paint with oil based paint for moisture.

You could use a tension rod and just hem a sheet or existing curtain?
Sabah....I would use material of my choice ...cut the length you want but leave enough to sew a hem at bottom as well as small one at top and use a tension rod to slide in the top pocket and attach at walls. If it's a freestanding tub...I would do the same but thread elastic through the top...I believe it will be tighter than pulling ribbon through to tie. Good luck
