Do you want any furniture there?
Soft lighting with a comfortable cushion so that you can spend a bit of time in comfort. Add a small table with a lamp, bible, and notebook for a prayer journal.
You can put in a movable partition to add more seclusion if desired.
Sheryll....I would use a small chair with table and small lamp. Hope this helps and blessings as you meditate and read!
If you would like to separate out you could hang drapes to create a soft comfortable space
Putting a dimmer switch on the lamp cord will allow for adjustments to the light according to different times of the day or seasons.
Hi Sheryll, you only need a tiny space to create a prayer area. See if you can find a small table that will fit into that area and use it as an altar. Depending on what makes you comfortable when praying you can either have a short table and kneel or sit on the floor on a comfy cushion or add a taller table and chair.
Essential oil diffuser to add a calming scent, lighting (depends on your own taste), if it was me I would want music (can be as simply as the sound of rain), a way to close the area off for privacy, just what makes you the most comfortable.
