One of my favorite things to use to get larger amounts of debris off my glass cook top is the retractable razor. Have you tried using that. After the sick part of the debris is removed you can use your cream polish to clean up anything that’s left. I hope this helps
Thank you I’ve read about this but I was too scared to try it but I will do it now that I know it’s for sure
Two ideas:
Harden it by icing so that it scrapes more easily.
Soften by placing a towel that has been dipped in boiling water (wear protective gloves) over the sugar. Scrape. Repeat until gone.
In either case, I would scrape with a stiff teflon scraper.
Hi Diane! Burnt sugar and egg drips are the worst on my glass top! I use a razor blade and very carefully scrape the burnt off. It does not scratch your glass top.

Pour a fairly thick layer over the sugar that is still stuck on your glass cooktop stove. When the vinegar is boiling, carefully pour the vinegar over the baking-soda-covered burned sugar. Watch it fizz. When it is done fizzing, wipe up the warm vinegar and busted-up chunks of burned sugar.Feb 23, 2013

Good luck! I was told that hot sugar will etch the glass of your glass stove top. I hope that is not the case. I do use the razor blade and cream cleaner for my stove top and it looks like new.
