Someone burnt food in it,now it has brown residue in it. Cant get it out
I have a mesh dishrag that I use to scrub mine. You might have stained the finish. If so, combine 1 Tbsp baking soda with 2 Tbs lemon juice. Rub until the grime comes off. Then polish with a clean cloth.
Pour some water in the pan to cover the stain. Heat the pan on the stove till boiling. Pour the water out. Use a green kitchen scrubby with some dish liquid, I use Dawn, to scrub the pan. I recently burned instant mashed potatoes in a pan. Accidentally left the burner on low. Thought I trurned it off. This worked for me.

Hi Ginger, this might help... https://www.worldcoppersmith.com/clean-copper-pans/
Sorry this happened to your beautiful pot here is an idea to help you
When one of my clients burn stuff in Red Copper pan, I soak it in the sink with dish detergent, then use a plastic scraper or round plastic kitchen scrubby. Once all the material is off the pan, pour a dollup of olive oil in the pan and put it in the oven on low for 30 mins to reseason it. I've done this many times to my own pan and its as good a new.
I like the pan so much, I purchased one for each of my disabled clients and a friend. Happy to say they are all still using them.
I use salt and white vinegar to clean my copper pan. Put a layer of salt on the bottom, then spray with white vinegar until damp. Let sit for about 5 minutes, then scrub with a scratch free scrubber. Should sparkle like new.
