How to underpin a front porch?
I have an old farmhouse, and had used pvc lattice to underpin it 20 years ago. Now I am wanting a different look … I am a senior, so need to do this with expense a consideration as well. The entire porch is about 30 feet x 6 feet. Any suggestions? Thank you, stay safe stay well.

Hello. Not sure of the height of your porch if this could be a consideration, horizontal planking for skirting is quite attractive. Several of my neighbors in my community have done it and I think it is a nice clean fresh updated look. I hope you find the perfect solution for your situation.

You could use pallet boards. A lot of times you can get them for free. Just make manageable size frames to attach boards to then insert along your porch.
Maybe you could try slats like this: https://pin.it/1hlKsj1
You could also install skirt boards vertically like this: https://www.decks.com/how-to/703/deck-skirting-and-fascia
Have you thought of giving the lattice a fresh coat of paint, maybe in a different color?
