Hi Penne, I would personally try paint. I would find a colour that matches and water it down doing many thin layers as opposed to a thick opaque one. If you use an acrylic paint like Fusion Mineral Paint you won't need to seal it with anything. The thin layers will allow you to work at it until it looks seamless in colour.
Hello Penne, I totaly agree with the idea of painting the fabric rather than trying to use dye. You can thin the paint with water and use multiple coats. Those small acrylic bottles of paint available at craft stores will work just fine. You may need to mix two or three colors to get the nearest match to your couch.
Thx so much for your help I have ordered a kit from conix co through amazon will send photo when done it’s professionally used not expensive and so will try. Thx again
Yes, paint it, the vomit bleached the color out because the stomach contents are acid, I would paint it. Nothing will restore the color short of painting.
Here's a post that might help https://www.today.com/home/how-remove-vomit-t107338
Hello Penne, you can paint the entire couch, make it look like new, hope this helps you out,

Ooops, sorry to hear that Penne, hope your puppy is okay. You can buy leather recoloring kits that are pretty easy to apply. This video will show you how https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1yGu2Bbwxg&feature=emb_logo
Hello,
You could try using a shoe polish the same colour and blend it in. If you have Household Contents Insurance - Make a claim?
Shoe polish will not stay adhered to the polyester faux leather fabric, as it is synthetic based. Shoe polish is designed to permeate genuine leather which this couch isn't. It will not be absorbed, and will brush off and transfer the color on to other fabrics that come into contact (such a clothes of the person sitting down on the couch) with where you tried to apply it on the couch.
I highly doubt if your home insurance policy will cover damages incurred to contents in the home due to pets. Generally damage insurance covers only unusual incidences or events happening that are not normal.
House pets, and their behaviour, are considered to be a normal occurrence.
I agree about pets, this was accident normally my dog is fine I had 5 hour. Dental surgery and I put string cheese in a cong for her. Neighbors were great to come walk her. She had vomited on a blanket on the couch and as it was liquid went unnoticed till next a.m I’m sure the acid is what bleached the area. I got the color pretty well matched with the coconix kit, but now need to get ring look blended. Says to carefully use alcohol to do this but be careful not to bleach it out LOL. Quite a chore. The couch color changes with rubbing hand over it so will eventually blend in well thx everyone for commenting and help.
