I'm unsure what you are trying to achieve but if you want to paint portions of the table, you can cover the parts you don't want to paint with newspaper and frog tape.
You could paint the underside then the paint won’t wash off
Hi Debbie, you can paint the glass with the color you wish, then apply seveeral coats of clear sealer to keep the paint intact. Another thought is to apply the paint to the underside of the glass so there's no wear or tear on the actual paint surface.
Agreed with the above of painting underneath to preserve the glass!
