Do you have a picture of the chandelier that you would like to try to make so that we can see what exactly you have in mind?
Building a glass chandelier yourself is only one part of the project. Other important steps will be reinforcing the ceiling mounting location to ensure that it is adequate to support the weight of the fixture, and purchasing sufficiently robust hardware to mount the fixture up on to the ceiling.
you would need to be sure you have the right type of electrical wire, and all the items you need to make this item and I feel it would be cheaper to find one already made at a thrift store, etc.
