Yamini LEED AP at Urbanmotifs on Aug 16, 2011LeeAnn, Assuming that this marble does not have any prior (water or other )stains on it, I suggest you use a microfiber and warm distilled water to clean the surface. Sometimes even plain warm water will suffice. Marble is much softer than granite and will get water stains very easily, so you have to make sure you aren't leaving any moisture on the surface, so wipe dry. Avoid vinegar and other acidic cleaners when cleaning marble. Maybe you should consider applying a marble sealer after cleaning it all up.Helpful Reply

James A on Aug 16, 2011There is a product called detergent 8 that is a non-ionic cleaner used for marble. The non-ionic cleaners, or a calcium hypochlorite cleaner such as Chlorine, HTH or Shock Treatment is recommended by the Bonaventure Cemetery Historical Society, for cleaning marble tombstones. http://www.bonaventurehistorical.org/Documents/CityPolicies.pdf. Good source for marble cleaning, but is kinda morbid.Helpful Reply
