Roman shades or Plantation blinds. Which is more high end?
-
MaryStLouis on Jan 06, 2015I like Roman shades better but many can't be cleaned so that might be a consideration. Having had plantation blinds I would not want them again. Mine were screwed into the window frames so I couldn't clean the window glass behind them. The slats were a pain to clean and didn't allow a lot of light into my north facing rooms, where the blinds were located.Helpful Reply

Marion Nesbitt on Jan 08, 2015Use mini-slat blinds throughout my house with sheers or drapery/sheer combo. Roman blinds are too hard to clean and too heavy. People complement me on my window treatments - they don't even notice the blinds.Helpful Reply

Patti kelley on Jan 08, 2015Thanks Marion, Kind of leaning to toward the blinds and returning the roman shade I will be still using a sheer and the drapes. so really they wont be noticed that much. I may raise them completely up during the day thanks to everyone , I love Hometalk`siteHelpful Reply
