How to age battery candles

I have several battery pillar candles and I like them when they are on but when not in use, they are too stark white. Any ideas for aging them to look more vintage?

    Are they plastic or wax?

You can cover them in a scrap book paper of your choice or 'age' computer paper with coffee/tea and cover them. Test on a small area first, but you can use hot glue to drip down the sides and then use a paint glaze to age them all over!

Thanks for the suggestions, Laura. The candles are wax so maybe I will try dripping wax and then some glaze.

@Carol I have been looking for the same ideas for my battery operated candles and thought about dripping melted wax on mine too after seeing a pinterest post on it, but I recently saw another post on using a hot glue gun and making drips on it and then painting or glazing it and it looked a lot less messy and very easy. I haven't tried neither of them yet but i thought I'd share that with you in case you were interested in trying the hot glue too. =)
