I got these really long huge bamboo poles and I am seeking creative ideas of what to do with them in my garden or in my chicken coop area. I want to do something else other than a green bean teepee or using them to stake tomatoes though...

8 feet long.... one is 3 inches wide!

Weave them and make a trellis for Squash.

Cut into 18 in. or so pieces and use them for vases for vines or ivy. Use a plastic bottle inside the bamboo to hold the plant and water. I would LOVE to have a few large bamboo poles. Where can you get them?

  Believe it or not I pick them up off the street in front of one of my neighbors homes they had laid them out for the recycler to pick up I skidded to a halt and helped myself ....I do not know where they got them

make a decorative obelisk frame with the long bamboo then fill in with smaller garden branches

They should make great curtain rods. I can also see pretty planter boxes

Cut some in half and use them all in a water feature. They are hollow and carry water easily.

Cut 31/2", drill through pith to make a mason bee hotel. ( gather in a bunch and wrap w/duct tape. ) Cut bundle with miter saw.

I would cut the poles into different sizes wraps rope around them to secure them, then use small plants to put into pole tops or what ever you like and place in yard. I hope this helps!
