Pic on Jul 19, 2015These old railroad spikes are wonderful for hose guides . I use them natural. But U could paint them. The oid chain can be used for a rain chain(if not to heavy). Plus I Put real crystals in the middle of each vacant holes using wire. Pat from Fenton MIchiganHelpful Reply

MagnoliaMama on Jul 20, 2015String it between tree branches, and then hang Chinese lanterns or a chandelier holding real candles from it. This could be the beginning of a romantic outdoor eating area!Helpful Reply

Moby Lee Morton on Jul 21, 2015Make a rain chain by cutting a center hole in a small plastic, metal or wood bowl. Hole should just be big enough for chain to fit through, Seal the bowl to the chain with bondo, epoxy or silicone(weatherproof). Space bowls 5" or so. Hang from gutter or any places rain drips heavily. Watch the water over flow the bowls and cascade down the chain.Helpful Reply

Mia on Jul 22, 2015With railroad spikes and long wooden pegs (that once held the beams together in our barn) I made a sunburst pattern and attached the pieces to a section of painted plywood (can be square or round) with wire. Tiny holes were drilled in the plywood on either side of each piece to hold them securely. It made a nice outdoor decoration on the wall of our storage shed. I left all of them natural, but of course they could also be painted.Helpful Reply

Julie Benson-Grant on Jul 22, 2015I have something similar in my garage... I have it hanging at the end of tall storage and use 's-hooks' to use it to store smaller items that I use, like hair dryers (for paint) and bungie cords and a small square, etc. It places these items off the counter tops but still very accessible.Helpful Reply
