Does anyone have any ideas of what to do with old air mattresses?
I have access to quite a few old air mattresses that all leak but it seems a shame to waste the thick material. Any ideas? :)

Use as Ground sheet for Picnics or Play. Liner for small pond?
If you can fix the rips keep them and use them. If you can't fix them perhaps they could be recycled.
They'd made a good emergency moisture barrier for under a sheet. Also good as a drop cloth for smaller projects. Cut to fit a washable rug and attach it to the back. Line a boot tray (or make a boot tray). Split open. cut into rain poncho sizes.
Hi Jennifer, hope this helps you.

If they are repairable, then use Shoo Goo to fix them. If they are beyond repair then you could use them in the garden to block weeds-put them down in the area between rows of plants.
Patch them and donate to a local shelter.
Use them as weed barrier under rocks or mulch. Use as a paint drop cloth.
Got to go with Janice on weed barrier. Will be better than any of the stuff you purchase in stores. I have a garden shed so I might use pieces for curtains in my shed so people can't look in as it has large windows. You could do the same in the basement. Use a hole punch and put curtain rings in and hang garage or cellar curtains.
Use it as a ground sheet protector under your tent when you go camping.
Use the flattened mattress or possible split open if it is single width as a drop cloth for painting or redecorating part of your home. Cut into pieces to line the shelves under the sink, a blackout liner for a sunny window.
Hi Jennifer, hope these help you out.
