Put a shelf on the wall for toiletries, attach a wood or wire basket to the wall for towel storage, use the back of the door for more storage, install an over the toilet shelf.
Can you use the back of the door for storage space? Maybe an over the door organizer?

Put a shelf up over the door. Use it for extra towels and toilet paper. Hang small buckets around the mirror and put in all your makeup, tooth brushes and toothpaste. If you have a window, put a shelf inside the window.

Put a shoe organizer on the back of the door. They usually have about 16 pockets and can be used for everything from cleaning products to curling irons or make up and hair accessories.
I replaced a cabinet sink with a pedestal and used shelves and/or a cabinet outside the bathroom door for extra storage.
Plastic single drawers, I got mine at Wal-Mart, under the sink increase storage. I have TP in one drawer, first aide supplies in one, bins on top for frequently used items.
If you knock out some sheet rock- and frame the studs out to make a built in cabinet. You may have to block around the sewer pipe that goes to the roof, but my dad made me one and even put a sliding mirror in it. IT turned out to be as long as the sink and toilet (they are beside each other)
