Is there any way to "rubberize" an old bathmat?
It's the perfect color for my bathroom and I haven't been able to find another in the same color but the rubber on the back is all crumbly. The top is still good. Is there any way to fix this?

I know this may sound crazy but try hot glue. It's not super durable but if you wash it carefully it will last. I did it to the back of a bathmat I have, for the same reason, and it worked! You can either spread it as you go or string lines of it. Also makes the bathmat less likely to slip.- See 1 previous

I had the same problem with some kitchen rugs. I got some perforated rubber shelf liner, cut it about an inch smaller than the mat. Hot glued it to the bottom of the mat.
