LED lighting will provide best lighting and have longest lasting bulbs, but may require a "dedicated driver", if so noted in the description. These will not work unless you purchase the driver to reduce the voltage for the LED fixture. Some, better LED lights have the driver built in, while others will require separate purchase and installation.

Placing lights on either side of mirror at midpoint tends to offer best lighting (no shadows, as can occur with lighting above mirror).

Purchase lighting with soft white (2400-3400 kelvin) vs. cool white marking, because cool white can give a blueish cast and is usually much brighter (3500-5000 kelvin).

You should also have overhead lighting, which can be accomplished with an overhead exhaust fan with light.

Some people want a light in shower area, which must be for wet locations, and requires your ceiling be a specific height.

Lights on dimmers allow everyone to set their own lighting levels.
