Beautiful stump table! I think the cracks give it some character too. At least you don't have major gaps. Maybe add some additional poly and just continue filling in those cracks. I wonder if you should have sealed the ends of the log before it started drying. When I buy slightly green wood from the wood store, it will sometimes have a wax coating the ends. It dries quicker on the ends and therefore may start to check on the ends.Helpful Reply -
