How do I stop cars from making u-turns in my driveway?

When traffic backs up on our street, people use our driveway to make u-turns.
It makes me crazy, especially when the kids are out there.

Can you put a gate at your driveway entry?

You can try putting "caution" cones (similar to what you would find in stores next to spills/wet areas on the floor) at the opening of your driveway (where the street meets the driveway ramp). That has helped us somewhat but seems to attract teens who take them.

You can buy inexpensive "toy" (smaller than standard traffic ones, but easier to handle) at "99 cent" store or "Dolllar Tree".

Signs are a "challenge" to most drivers. Especially teen drivers. Most of the time they won't work. Any moveable barriers will be disregarded. Parking your car at the driveway entrance will work, but is an inconvenience for you. A fixed barrier like a chain, cable or gate also would be an inconvenience to you. An electric gate would work, but would be costly. You can try any or all options here and see what works.

I love it!!! Where did you buy these fake spikes? I think that would solve my problem and still cause no harm, but act as a deterrent. Thanks!!
