How do you put a wood deck over an existing concrete driveway?

I enclosed a carport leaving the existing drivway slab. There is about o 4 inch drop from the house to the end of the slab. The slab is 20x20

I do not want to build a patio, just raise the level of the porch to equal the doorway. I am 76 with lousy knees that do not like steps. Couldn't I just build a wooden platform to raise the small porch and maybe make it wider? It could set on concrete footings to keep moisture from damaging it.?Helpful Reply -

Wooden decks need to be cleaned if not they become very slippery and slimmy. Maintenance can be expensive. Cover your cement with indoor outdoor carpet, which is easier to maintain. (I have 3 wooden decks)Helpful Reply -
