Do you want a pad that is permanent (like pouring a cement pad) or something as simple as a piece of plywood?Helpful Reply -

If you are going to install ceramic tile over it just a concrete pad and then install the tiles on that. It would be worth finding the tile you want first so that you can get an accurate measurement of how big the pad needs to be. Don't forget to include the size of the grout line.Helpful Reply -

Whether you are using patio blocks or the small bricks, you will have to put down a layer of sand about 4" deep and be sure it is tamped and level. Lay your bricks and then fill the cracks with a mix of sand and a little cement. The cement hardens and the ants do not come through. Depending on where you are putting the pad you may have to put down the plastic surround to hold the bricks in place.Helpful Reply -
