What is an inexpensive way to build a porch for my RV?

I have had to move from a double wide mobile home into a RV, much less space. My dream is to build a front porch on the RV so my animals and I have a place outside to sit. I live in Florida and deal with fire ants, Palmer bugs and other insects. So a place off of the ground would be perfect.

Price out a portable screen room, they have them at Lowes. These are portable, should you have to move again.

Kim, we are in the process of doing this right now. Decks aren't cheap, but we are keeping the cost down by using some culled lumber and shopping for decking at a building materials salvage yard.

Decks are certainly not cheap but Kim there are ways for a DIYer to do it I can only address this is the ground is level where you want to have the deck.

So you can use concrete deck piers or block they have spaces built into them for the dimensional lumber you would need for the footings of the deck. You can get these at the big box store and they can also help you with the layout so you can keep it in your budget.

Good luck with your project and certainly let us know if we can further assist you.
