Try putting some cloves in the bag. Replace them each time you change the bag.

Hi Stephanie. After about six months of my puppy I had to buy a new vacuum with a cup that I could dump. . I use baking soda in bag and on floor. .I let sit on carpet about half hour. .then vacuum up. .I would go through a lot of vacuum bags. .throw away when not even full .you be better off with a vacuum with a cup you can dump after each use. .got mine at Wal-Mart. .dirt devil. Not expensive. .Good luck. .

My friend buys dry baking soda and adds dry air fresheners to add to it. She sprinkles the carpet with baking soda before vacuuming and lets it set (like at night when all are in bed) She vacuums early next morning and the air is fresh. She only does one area at a time so there is not so much to do at one time.
