HOw to clean burners on a gas stove?

My stove is self cleaning. Can I put these 4 burners in during cleaning cycle.?

I put the grates and the porcelain caps for the burners in the oven for cleaning, but would not put the cast metal burners in. I just use scotchbrite on them in the dishwater after the dishes are done.
I do, but then make sure they are really dry so they do not rust.
