Mix 10 oz of white distilled vinegar with 10 oz of Dawn dish soap in a squirt bottle. Apply liberally and rinse clean. This will remove all of the grease and build up. If this is not a flat top stove, then after cleaning apply a coat of car wax and buff to shine. The car wax is made to hold up to heat and makes cleaning up a breeze.
Just use dish soap and water and a rag with a tougher underside made for scrubbing gently. Put those grates off the top in your dishwasher and run on pot scrubber! I find these two things make mine sparkle and stay clean looking!
