Hi Carol! Vinegar is your friend. Heat will activate it. Try to rig up a dish or plastic bag around your faucet. Let it soak in straight vinegar for awhile. Then rinse. CLR is like an industrial strength vinegar if you need more power.

The vinegar works like a charm. I use it in a small sandwich bag and tie it off with a rubber band. I put it on my shower head overnight to get calcium deposits out of the shower head. Also works well on tile walls inside of the shower. Of course it does smell but just throw clear water or spray with a water bottle on the tile to remove any smell.

Mixture half vinegar and half dawn soap in spray bottle. Spray and scrub to suds up then leave it for a bit. Add more and scrub more every 30-45 mins. This works on shower doors, windows that sprinklers hit, pet dishes - that white crunchy will go away from most things with this wonderful mix .

  • Spray them with vinegar and then scrub with an old toothbrush.
