Here's a link about getting polish off rug: https://spotremoval.coit.com/how-to-get-nail-polish-out-of-carpet
On the cabinet you might try rubbing alcohol. Soak a piece of cloth or sponge in rubbing alcohol, set on the stain, and lightly scrub after a few minutes. You should see the nail paint come right off! Hope this helps you!
I would test an area where you can't see on the rug with polish remover. Do the same on the cabinet. When I get it on my cabinets, I just rub it off with a little remover.
You can use acetone on the rug carefully....but the cabinet? No. It will destroy the finish. I used the hand sanitizers after the acetone on the carpet.
