How to get odors out of a blanket?

I have two blankets with the sherpa and they have a very foul smell. The cleaners could not even get the smell out. Is there something you can recommend that I try? Thank you.

Try washing the blankets in hot water with vinegar.
Hot water and Gain. 4-6 dryer sheets in dryer.
Vinegar
Add a half cup of baking soda to smelly laundry and wash as usual. I do this for workout clothes or if I forget to put something in the dryer right away. Good Luck!
