I wouldn't have believed it unless I saw it right before my eyes. A neighbor dropped an open nail polish bottle on a very expensive rug. They used WD-40 and it took every trace of the polish out. I would lightly dampen a q-tip with nail polish remover. Lightly touch the areas. Try a spot on the bottom first.
