Resolve spray is amazing for spot cleaning. If you don't have any on hand try using baking soda and vinegar. But you may want to color test first
Zep Instant Spot Remover works wonders. Get it at Home Depot. Or as a close second, Spot Shot is pretty good, too.
I use the Dollar Tree Homestore Foam Carpet Cleaner and a carpet brush, works great..... cat gacks on the rug frequently.
use equal parts water and white vinegar. Rub spot with a preferably white rag or towel dipped in this solution. The odor will be strong, but as it dries, it'll go away, or just wash rag and rub over spot with plain water after you get the spot removed.
I LOVE the Chem-Dry Carpet Cleaner. Very mild smell and the carpet is barely damp when done. I've used it on all kinds of spots - pets, coffee, etc. and it always removes the spot. A little pricey but is very good and lasts a long time. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B4HQ5XY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
