I have several dish towels with deep stains from cleaning dishes, I can't get them out by just laundering them.

Soak in hot water with borax and just wash. If this does not work using hydrogen peroxide and ironing over a cloth may just be the last trick needed.

I fill a sink with very hot water and add 2 dishwashing tablets and place the dish towels into the water until the water gets cold. Then rinse and launder as usual.....or if doing an entire load of dishtowels sometimes I'll use the d/w tabs in the soak cycle of my clothes washer and let soak well before I add laundry soap and run the entire cycles.

I sprinkled Oxiclean powder on damp towel, let them sit a bit , and washed in warm water, they came out quite nicely.

Try a couple of tablespoons of baking soda depending on how many towels,, let soak in warm water for 10 mins or so then rinse, put on regular wash cycle with tide or even clorox laundry soap ! I did this with a baby blanket with lace on the edges, I've had this blanket for 31 yrs and it looks brand new!!!
