How can you get all the fuzz out of new towels?

I have some plush brown towels I purchased for my bathroom. The problem is that when you dry off you have small bits of brown fuzz on you, and the tub and the floor. I have washed them now 4 times and when I check the lint trap, I'm still getting fuzz. Anyone have a quick fix?

Thanks Janet. I did wash the towels in white vinegar. Got tons of fuzz in the lint trap. I washed the towels in detergent again and only saw a small amount of fine fuzz in the trap. Looks like it made a big difference but won't know how big until I use them after a shower. Thank you

dissolve 1/2 cup of baking soda in hot water and add to washer. Put in your towels (only), set to hot and run the load.

Clean your dryer filter. Dry with a couple of dryer sheets. Then wash again normally, since dryer sheets limit the absorbency of towels. If you want them softer, use white vinegar instead of fabric softener In that cup.

No matter how good they are, you will still get fuzz in the dryer. Never had trouble with fuzz when drying off after a shower unless they were pretty much worn out.
