Stains from tea. Indian, Chinese, black, green or white! I have never found a foolproof method of removing tea stains from fabric. No detergent on the market works. Anyone out there with the solution? I will be in your debt forever! Thank you.

my aunt swears by the boiling water from a tea kettle method; the stream has to be held as high as you can over the sink

Thanks for replying Rosanne, but wouldn't boiling water set the stain even further?

    Have you tried Oxiclean?

Thank you for replying Janet. We don't have that but I tried something similar. Tea stains are so difficult to remove. I won't give up just yet though! If all else fails I will have to dye them! no available!

You could try Borax or peroxide in the laundry as well!

I use both peroxide and borax in all my laundry load...hot, warm and cold; whites and colored. I haven't had a problem with it "bleaching" the colors yet. You may try it on a colored napkin first to check though. And thank you for the compliment on my name. Ihaven't met too many other Darlenes but have met a couple!

Have you tried washing up liquid? Rub it on stain before putting in wash - works for most stains . (Though if you've tried already tried vanish etc may not help)

apparently not-it always seems to work!

A drop of dawn and a little peroxide should do it. Test on something else first.
