take it off the door, wash with dish soap as if it’s a piece of silverware. Set out on towel to dry. Re install when all is dry. Most knobs pulls are screwed on from the back of the door. -

I use a Dawn soapy water solution to clean my brushed nickle hardware. A abrasive or strong chemical could etch or scratch your hardwares finish. -

Murphys oil soap is great at cutting through greasy cabinets -
