How can you remove a water stain from a wooden night stand?

It is a light water stain.

Try rubbing mayonnaise in to the spot with a soft cloth or toothpaste and baking soda. Once the spot is removed put a small amount of wax on top and buff.

Put a cloth over the stain (a t-shirt will do) and iron it, yes iron it. This really does work, I recently did this on our new dining table when my son had left hot meat on foil on the table, I couldn't believe how easy it was!

Buffing it with toothpaste should help, then follow with a good wax.

Put an iron on low heat with a clean dry dishtowel, no steam, iron away and check often.
