If the smell is from a smoker, try a leather cleaner and just start wiping it down. This product usually contains a mild cleanser and conditioner. If the smoke is from a fire, call a service that deals with smell removal. They should have ionic odor removal capabilities.

Remove all cushions, wash down with leather cleaner. Spray under cushions with fabric Fabreeze the fabric areas - not the leather.

Let air out, leave cushions off for awhile. Finish off with leather conditioner. Good luck.

OdoBan is a great odor eliminator as well as a disinfectant. Wipe down completely.

As leather is a natural material, it absorbs the odour and toxins in smoke.

You could try some of the suggestions offered from others, but if the smoke has permeated into the inside foam or stuffing, IMO, the odour will be next to impossible to entirely remove.
