I usually spray paint them with a good quality primer/paint spray. Rustoleum makes a good one. Just do light coats, giving it time to dry between.Helpful Reply -

You can paint them with a rust inhibitor paint from the hardware store for outdoor furniture.Helpful Reply -

The plastic friendly spray paints work well after appropriate preparation, tho they do show aging after a few years with outdoor seasonal exposure and storage.Helpful Reply- See 1 previous

First wash them very well, let dry overnight, sand them so any paint you apply adheres well and rinse them again. Give them several light coats instead of a heavy coat. The sanding insures you a better finish and you will also be less likely to have the paint chip of peel off. I did this and just used cheap Walmart paint in a spray can. Chairs looks good several years after painting.Helpful Reply -
