Baking Soda and White Vinegar will take any stain off of a formica counter top. HTH

I have had amazing results getting stains out with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
  • Bleach (and this includes bathroom cleaner with bleach)

I have dull Formica from the 1990's and baking soda and a Scotch Brite plastic scrub will LIGHTLY scrub out any stain. But I would not use any abrasive on my mom's 1970's SHINY Formica (wouldn't need to, it still looks great, whatever they used in that kind was hard to damage!)

I use bleach....let it sit on the stain and then wipe off and then wash well with soap and water.

I have had good luck with finger nail polish remover if the counter isn't shiny. I think the bleach would work well too though.
