How can I remove stickers on new open bookshelves?

We purchased a new set of open wood bookshelves from our local furniture store. There are large stickers stuck tightly on the inside. I need to remove them, but they are not coming off with just a finger loosening. I don't want to use harsh chemicals on them, because I don't want to ruin them. How can I get them off without scratching or damaging the real wood?

Yes
try using a hair dryer to melt the glue on sticker
After the hair dryer trick, you can use vegetable oil/WD40/goo gone to remove the "sticky" residue.
Goo Gone usually works well on stickers.
Goo Gone won't hurt the wood but usually is used to remove adhesive. Same with WD40. Try using a razor blade on a corner and pull of what you can. Or warm the sticker with a blow dryer and peel off. Then Use Goo Gone or WD40.
One thing I use most often is product called "un-du." It easily and safely removes anything sticky. Do and Internet search for this product and learn about it. It's great and I've seen it at Hobby Lobby, Walmart, Lowes, etc. I always have some on hand.
