Sprinkle baking soda on the bottom of the wet pot. then spray on a vinegar and water solution - I us a 50/50 mix of each. Let it sit a while, then scrub the bottoms. The key is to give the baking soda and vinegar time to work.
Another option is to sprinkle salt on the bottom of the wet pot, then rub with 1/2 a lemon until it sparkles.

My pans have stainless steel otters currently, but I have used this same method for enamelled ones and other metals. I stand them for a hour ir so in very hot water with a cup of washing machine laundry liquid for whites in a sink.....it eats the fat and grease without damaging the pans. If any black marks are still left, I use a fine steel wool pad I make myself from decorators steel wool. Cheap solution and it works. I’ve never played around with borax, ammonia or bicarbonate as they’re strong, and I always want to preserve the looks of the outside of the pans. Hope this helps.

Fill up your sink with hot water, vinegar and baking soda. Let pots soak for a while and then use a scrubber to remove the baked on stains.

Kathy, I've used Barkeepers Friend for years with great results. It's easy to find. It's on the grocery aisle with Comet etc. Good luck.
