Try running HOT water ONLY on the jar... and put a tad bit of pressure on the lid at the same time - if the edge of the lid is 'frosted' it will have sort of a rough finish ... it the hot water doesn't work - try a bit of WD 40 squirted around the edges -- and let 'gravity' be your friend --

after soaking give it a quick 'rap' with a wooden utensil to shock it loose. wood won't break the glass

Did this after having put Aloes Vera Gel and after soaking it for a while in hot water which now was cool. It didn't get it off right away. I walked for a bit in my house trying to tilt it from side to side and all of a sudden I had a lid in one hand and the bottle in the other !! I thought it was broken at first, its so surprising.

Thanks to you and MadameRã for the helpful tips !

Use a aloe vera gel & rub it around the lid trying to get bits underneath on sides.. additionally soak( with warm’ish water) using a product called De-Solv-it, one of the best for removing stickers off jars & containers too, & spray quite a lot around the lid section before placing it to soak in just enough warm’ish/medium heat’ in a pot with a lid. *Leave products on for a few minutes before the soak~~~ leave in to soak till water becomes cool, not cold, then using a tee-towel carefully wiggle to put strength on the surface,& it ought to come off// via twisting to of coarse:)
I have been doing this for years with items that are glass & glass, it works for me..
Good luck,& products are not dear; under 20 bucks here...& we are expensive for everything!
