John on Jul 19, 2015Are the marks scuff marks in the wax coating or are they discoloration marks like a black shoe mark? Rubbing alcohol and a fine steel wool, (Not SOS strength) will smooth out the scrape marks, BUT it also will remove the polish so you should buff the spot with a mild warm soap and water to remove any residual dirt and old polish/rubbing alcohol, then polish the spot again. If it did leave marks, try the WD-40, but also clean it before applying a new coat of wax/polish. Have you looked into getting cork pads that have adhesive on one side to place under the furniture? Not only will it slide easier, but not leave any scuff marks or cut into the new wax. Most hardware stores carry the cork pads in many shapes and sizes to fit most anything. I even used tiny strips on coasters made from the left over chunks of quartz from our new counter tops.Helpful Reply

Lee on Jul 19, 2015maybe if you take the wax you used and rub on the scuffs to fill in. (did you use a paste wax?) then put 'pads' on the furniture feet before you move the furniture again . these scuff pads are availabe all over, big box stores, walmart, dollar stores etcHelpful Reply
