The only thing that I have found that will remove rust stains in my white tub (90 years old) is Barkeeper's Friend.

Best product out there is CLR, CALCIUM, LIME AND RUST REMOVER. DON'T BUY THE SPRAY BOTTLE. BUY THE PLASTIC BOTTLE WITH LIQUID AND JUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON BOTTLE. I've had great luck with it

We have very hard water here with lots and I do mean lots of iron in it . Our tap if not forcefully turned off drips the odd drip and over time has left rust stains. I fought with these for ages .....then one day I was cleaning the toilet and I decided to try the blue Lysol toilet bowl cleaner on the stains in the tub . I was amazed . I left it on the stain for about 10 minutes and when I went to wipe it off never expecting any result , the stain came off and left no sign it was ever there . I also tried on my glass shower doors to remove mineral water marks that would not come off even with scrubbing .That was four months ago and I am only now seeing some spotting from the water coming back . Time to wipe it down again.

This stuff is amazing . I even used it to clean the glass in my pellet stove that had residual marks from years of smoke . The glass came up so clean it isnt funny ( stove has to be off by the way when you do this ) . I call this stuff my miracle cleaner and now I try it on just about anything I can think of that is difficult to clean especially if it is rusty.
