Baking soda and vinegar does pretty good. follow with boiling water. Also, barkeepers friend does the trick. its foamy and thick...i spray a generous amount in the sink then follow with boiling waterHelpful Reply -

Put about a half cup baking soda in the drain, follow that by about a cup of vinegar. Let that foam and fizz for a while and do its work. Put about a gallon of boiling water down the drain to rinse everything down the pipes. If you need, repeat. If that doesn't work, the clog may be further down the pipe and need to be snaked. I had one that was way down the pipes, our plumber friend said it was way down in the pipes, not far from being out of the house. The baking soda/vinegar/boiling water will help keep your pipes clean and unclogged if you do it occasionally.Helpful Reply -
