In the U.S. ,butter is commonly sold in 1 pound or 1/2 pound packages. There are four sticks in a one pound package, 2 sticks in a 1/2 pound package, therefore each stick is 4 oz.In Canada, butter is not sold in sticks. It is sold in solid 1 pound, or 1/2 pound bricks.Helpful Reply -
